Claudia studies mosquito reproductive biology. Specifically, she is interested in how monandrous female Aedes aegypti mosquitos can store and nourish viable sperm from a single mating for a lifetime of fertilization. She is also interested in how seminal fluid proteins produced by male mosquitoes affect female physiology and behaviour.
